Student Dignity Here's a story in today's Miami Herald about student lobbying for the Dignity for All Students Act. The bill would require schools to train teachers and administrators with techniques for protecting gay and lesbian student rights. With dignity. The bill would go through the House Education K-20 (K-20?) committee. The chair will meet with student lobbyists, but hasn't said whether she'd let the bill be considered. The vice chair drones on along why-do-they-need-something-special lines. My guess is that there's going to be some disappointed young people. |
