Anti-Discrimination Ordinance in Orlando Finally, the mayor of Orlando has gotten off the fence. Even though she said she'll vote "no," Mayor Glenda Hood also said she'll finally let an ordinance extending Orlando's anti-discrimination in housing and employment laws to people who don't happen to be heterosexual come to a vote before the Orlando City Council. (Aside: How does that work? Does O-town have one of those "mayor is coucil president" kind of governments?) Story here, from the Orlando Sentinel. |
