Okay, I can't be the only one who's truly creeped out by the plethora of preemptive asscovering going on over potential terrorist attacks. What do we pay these people for? I surely wouldn't pay them to try to deflect criticism for not being prescient about attacks that, probabilistically, might happen. So there's a nonzero probability that there will be more terrorist attacks on US soil. I'd rather that our paid public officials spend a little more time trying to reduce those probabilities rather than educating the public as to that probabilistic situation. |
